Welcome to one of the Caribbean’s most captivating cities! Over the next five days, you’ll dive into Havana’s rich culture, history, and vibrant energy. We’ll kick off Day 1 with welcome drinks try a mojito or daiquiri, both born right here in Cuba while you meet your new travel crew.

Next, we’ll set out on a walking tour guided by a local expert, starting in the colorful cobblestone streets of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hear the stories of Havana’s founding by the Spanish Crown, pirate attacks, and the sugar and tobacco booms that shaped the city’s 19th-century prosperity.

We’ll cap the evening at a rooftop paladar, a privately owned Cuban restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional dishes alongside sweeping city views at sunset a perfect first taste of Havana’s charm.

Day 2 is all about embracing Havana’s iconic symbols and rhythms. Hop into a classic convertible and cruise the city streets these vintage cars are a true emblem of Cuban culture, with over 10,000 still on the roads!

Next, it’s time to feel the beat with your first salsa lesson led by the world-renowned Havana Queens. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a first-timer, you’ll get moving to Havana’s infectious rhythms.

In the evening, freshen up before heading to a live salsa show paired with dinner. Then, hit a local bar to dance the night away and show off your new moves the streets of Havana are ready for you!

On Day 3, we venture into the lush Cuban countryside to explore sustainable farming practices firsthand. After a guided tour, enjoy a fresh Creole lunch made with local ingredients, complemented by live music that captures Cuba’s soulful spirit.

The afternoon is devoted to Cuba’s legendary exports: rum and cigars. Sample aged rums paired with robust cigars as you learn about distillation and the rich history of these world-famous Cuban traditions.

As night falls, we’ll head to one of Havana’s trendiest spots a gallery-turned-nightclub buzzing with locals to soak up the city’s nightlife.

Day 4 is all about sun, sea, and culture. Start the morning at a beautiful Cuban beach, where you can swim, lounge, or simply soak up the Caribbean sun a perfect chance to unwind and reflect.

In the afternoon, explore Havana’s thriving art scene with a private gallery visit inside a local artist’s home. With mojitos in hand, hear the stories behind each piece, relax on the balcony, and take in the inspiring view.

As the day winds down, we’ll freshen up for a farewell dinner, celebrating the trip with good food, laughter, and one last mojito or daiquiri. Don’t be surprised if a little dancing sneaks in to close out this unforgettable adventure.

Fly into and out of José Martí international Airport (HAV)

Yes. If you arrive on Day 1 of your adventure or book pre-tour accommodation with us, your airport arrival transfer is included. If you choose alternative pre-tour accommodation or arrive by another mode of transport, you’ll need to arrange your own arrival transfer.

Our arrival transfers are private to Soca Islands and are organised in groups based on flight times. Sometimes this means a short wait at the airport until other flights arrive.

While we’re not medical professionals, we want to help you prepare for a safe and healthy adventure. Here are some tips:

  1. Consult with a healthcare professional: Schedule an appointment with your travel nurse or doctor at least eight weeks before your adventure to get any necessary vaccines or medications.
  2. Up-to-date medical advice:
    • US residents: Check the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.
    • UK residents: Visit the NHS Fit For Travel website.
    • Australian residents: Refer to the Smart Traveler Health website.

3. Government travel advice:

    There are no scheduled activities on the final day, so feel free to book your departure at your own convenience.

    We recommend arriving before 3 pm on Day 1 to make it in time for the welcome event. But don’t worry no matter when you land, we’ll have an airport transfer ready for you.

    Excluding alcohol, we suggest budgeting around USD $40.00 per day for extras.

    We believe solo travelers shouldn’t have to pay extra to explore the world. That’s why our group trips are designed around shared accommodation and do not include a single supplement. Solo travelers joining our group trips are paired in twin or multi-share rooms with another traveler of the same sex for the duration of the trip.

    Some of our Independent trips are structured differently. For these itineraries, solo travelers will need to book at the single occupancy rate.

    Tips are not included in the cost of this tour. Remember, tipping is entirely at your discretion and based on what you feel comfortable with.
