Arrive in Cartagena, a city that has quickly become one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after destinations and once you’re here, it’s easy to see why.

After settling into your hotel in one of the city’s trendiest neighborhoods, kick things off with rooftop drinks overlooking the vibrant streets below. It’s the perfect setting to meet your group and ease into the journey ahead.

Later, head out together for your first group dinner, setting the tone for an exciting few days in Colombia.

Start your first full day exploring Cartagena’s historic walled city on a guided walk, taking in colorful colonial architecture and landmarks like the San Felipe Fortress.

Then, dive into the local culture with a hands-on drumming session at a community-focused music school feel the rhythm and energy that define the city.

Afterward, head to the coastal neighborhood of La Boquilla for fresh seafood and ocean views before experiencing a unique volcanic mud bath. It’s a fun, messy, and memorable way to unwind with your group.

The evening is yours to relax or explore at your own pace.

After breakfast, set out by private boat across the Caribbean Sea toward the Rosario Islands.

Spend the day surrounded by crystal-clear waters snorkel vibrant reefs, take in fascinating sights like remnants of the region’s past, and relax at a secluded beach club. Enjoy good food, drinks, and time in the sun.

Return to Cartagena in the afternoon, with the evening free to wander the city’s lively streets with your group.

Begin your final day with a visit to a family-run coffee farm in the hills outside Medellín. Learn about the journey from bean to cup and enjoy freshly brewed coffee straight from the source.

Return to the city for a free afternoon explore neighborhoods, visit museums, or simply relax.

Fly into Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport (BOG), and out of Medellín's José María Córdova International Airport (MDE).

Yes. If you arrive on Day 1 of your adventure or book pre-tour accommodation with us, your airport arrival transfer is included. If you choose alternative pre-tour accommodation or arrive by another mode of transport, you’ll need to arrange your own arrival transfer.

Our arrival transfers are private to Soca Islands and are organised in groups based on flight times. Sometimes this means a short wait at the airport until other flights arrive.

While we’re not medical professionals, we want to help you prepare for a safe and healthy adventure. Here are some tips:

  1. Consult with a healthcare professional: Schedule an appointment with your travel nurse or doctor at least eight weeks before your adventure to get any necessary vaccines or medications.
  2. Up-to-date medical advice:
    • US residents: Check the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.
    • UK residents: Visit the NHS Fit For Travel website.
    • Australian residents: Refer to the Smart Traveler Health website.

3. Government travel advice:

    • US residents: Consult the US Department of State Travel Advice.

    There are no scheduled activities on the final day, so feel free to book your departure at your own convenience.

    We recommend arriving before 3 pm on Day 1 to make it in time for the welcome event. But don’t worry no matter when you land, we’ll have an airport transfer ready for you.

    We believe solo travelers shouldn’t have to pay extra to explore the world. That’s why our group trips are designed around shared accommodation and do not include a single supplement. Solo travelers joining our group trips are paired in twin or multi-share rooms with another traveler of the same sex for the duration of the trip.

    Some of our Independent trips are structured differently. For these itineraries, solo travelers will need to book at the single occupancy rate.

    Tips are not included in the cost of this tour. Remember, tipping is entirely at your discretion and based on what you feel comfortable with.
