Group itinerary

Arrive at Nairobi Airport, where a private Soca Islands transfer will meet you and take you to your hotel. Settle in, unwind, and get ready to meet your group for a traditional welcome dinner, raising a toast of Tusker beer to the adventures ahead.

Start your morning with a scenic cycle ride through Hell’s Gate National Park in the Great Rift Valley. Keep your eyes peeled for zebras, giraffes, and klipspringer while enjoying the dramatic landscapes.

Afterwards, arrive at your lodge on Lake Naivasha, where zebras roam freely around the grounds. Enjoy lunch and choose to either take an optional boat ride on the lake or relax by the pool and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

Travel to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to the iconic wildebeest migration and the renowned African wildlife spectacle.

Check into your boutique tented camp in the heart of the Mara and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Your expert guide will help you track the Big Five, from roaming elephants to elusive black rhino, offering incredible photo opportunities.

Wake up to stunning views of the rolling hills and Acacia-dotted savannah of the Maasai Mara, bordering Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.

Spend the day on dawn and dusk safaris, encountering a wide variety of wildlife in their natural habitat. Return to camp each evening to relax and enjoy dinner under the sounds of the African bush, sharing stories from the day’s adventures.

Head out for more safari drives, enhancing your chances of spotting solitary leopards, cheetahs, and critically endangered black rhino.

Visit a Maasai manyatta (homestead) to meet the local Maasai community, learning how their traditions and lifestyle have remained unchanged for centuries.

End your night with a traditional Maasai bush dinner, surrounded by lanterns and stars a magical way to celebrate your last evening in the Mara.

Get your adrenaline pumping with a zipline adventure through the treetops of Kereita Forest, featuring six thrilling routes, including the longest zipline in Africa.

Return to Nairobi for your farewell dinner at the iconic Carnivore Restaurant, where you can sample dishes like ostrich and crocodile alongside tasty vegetarian options, celebrating the conclusion of your Kenyan adventure.

Say goodbye to your new Soca Islands friends as you make your way to Nairobi Airport (NBO) for your onward flight. Your Soca Islands guide will assist in arranging your taxi, ensuring a smooth departure.

Tour FAQS

Fly into and out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi.

Yes. If you arrive on Day 1 of your adventure or book pre-tour accommodation with us, your airport arrival transfer is included. If you choose alternative pre-tour accommodation or arrive by another mode of transport, you’ll need to arrange your own arrival transfer.

Our arrival transfers are private to Soca Islands and are organised in groups based on flight times. Sometimes this means a short wait at the airport until other flights arrive.

Please keep in mind that our itinerary, activities, and hotels might change. These adjustments could happen with little notice due to factors like availability, weather conditions, seasonal shifts, or other circumstances beyond our control. Rest assured, we always aim to minimise any impact on your experience. Occasionally, we may tweak the itinerary to try out fresh ideas and keep the adventure exciting.

We believe solo travelers shouldn’t have to pay extra to explore the world. That’s why our group trips are designed around shared accommodation and do not include a single supplement. Solo travelers joining our group trips are paired in twin or multi-share rooms with another traveler of the same sex for the duration of the trip.

Some of our Independent trips are structured differently. For these itineraries, solo travelers will need to book at the single occupancy rate.

Tips are not included in the cost of this tour. Remember, tipping is entirely at your discretion and based on what you feel comfortable with.
