Group itinerary

Touch down in Lecce and settle into your hotel before hitting the cobblestone streets to soak up the Baroque charm of Puglia’s jewel. Later, meet your group for an evening stroll through Lecce’s historic center and enjoy your first authentic Italian dinner at a local trattoria, complete with fresh regional wine

Venture to the coastal town of Otranto, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and wander along the seaside promenade, explore quaint cafes, and marvel at the 11th-century cathedral’s Ossuary Chapel. Return to Lecce for a hands-on cooking class with a local chef, preparing and enjoying classic Pugliese dishes, then end the night with a gelato as you wander through the lit-up streets.

Discover the iconic trulli houses of Alberobello, practicing your Italian with local artisans and enjoying a morning espresso. Pause for an olive oil tasting and lunch under the trees before heading to Matera. Spend the afternoon exploring its 9,000-year-old cave dwellings and winding streets, a labyrinth of history that will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Finish the day with a group dinner and a taste of local wine.

Spend the morning roaming Matera’s ancient alleyways, checking out highlights like Casa Noha and the Church of Saint Mary of Idris. Grab lunch at a local eatery before setting off toward the Amalfi Coast. Arrive in Sorrento and enjoy a free evening to explore the waterfront, indulge in local cuisine, and sip on the famous limoncello.

Wake up to a stunning Sorrento sunrise and head to Positano for a full day of sun, sea, and Mediterranean magic. Lounge on the beach, enjoy a beach club cocktail, or explore the town’s steep streets and colorful shops. Gather for a scenic dinner in Positano before dancing the night away at a unique seaside cave club.

Embark on a private boat trip to the famous island of Capri, cruising past dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and azure waters. Enjoy a hands-on Italian meal at a local Capri eatery, sampling fresh garden vegetables and local wines before returning to Sorrento for more breathtaking coastal views.

Spend a free morning strolling Sorrento’s waterfront or picking up souvenirs. Later, travel to Rome for your final night together. Share laughs, drinks, and a farewell feast with your group, celebrating your Italian adventure and all the memories made along the way.

Enjoy a last Italian breakfast with your friends before heading to the airport. For those continuing their European journey, your trip leader can offer recommendations for Tuscany, Sardinia, or even onward to Barcelona and the South of France.

Tour FAQS

Fly into Brindisi (BDS airport). Fly out of Rome (FCO)

Yes. If you arrive on Day 1 of your adventure or book pre-tour accommodation with us, your airport arrival transfer is included. If you choose alternative pre-tour accommodation or arrive by another mode of transport, you’ll need to arrange your own arrival transfer.

Our arrival transfers are private to Soca Islands and are organised in groups based on flight times. Sometimes this means a short wait at the airport until other flights arrive.

Please keep in mind that our itinerary, activities, and hotels might change. These adjustments could happen with little notice due to factors like availability, weather conditions, seasonal shifts, or other circumstances beyond our control. Rest assured, we always aim to minimise any impact on your experience. Occasionally, we may tweak the itinerary to try out fresh ideas and keep the adventure exciting.

We believe solo travelers shouldn’t have to pay extra to explore the world. That’s why our group trips are designed around shared accommodation and do not include a single supplement. Solo travelers joining our group trips are paired in twin or multi-share rooms with another traveler of the same sex for the duration of the trip.

Some of our Independent trips are structured differently. For these itineraries, solo travelers will need to book at the single occupancy rate.

Tips are not included in the cost of this tour. Remember, tipping is entirely at your discretion and based on what you feel comfortable with.
